Power Options & Frame Structure
1.What are the core differences between the 2-stroke and 4-stroke models, and how to choose?
The 2-stroke unit is lighter with stronger instant torque, requiring mixed gasoline and engine oil. It fits sporadic tree planting in orchards, frequent short-distance moving and medium-depth drilling. The 4-stroke version runs on pure gasoline with lower vibration and noise, saving fuel during long continuous work, perfect for large-scale continuous deep-hole projects for photovoltaic foundations.
2.Is the frame stable? Is relocation convenient?
The triangular support frame ensures balanced stress and stability when support feet are unfolded. Equipped with wear-resistant moving wheels, the whole machine can be pushed by one worker after retracting support feet, moving freely along mountain trails and muddy construction sites without multiple laborers for lifting.
Drilling Performance & Application
3.What drilling tasks can this machine undertake?
It is widely used for photovoltaic pile holes, deep pits for fruit tree transplantation, guardrail post holes, monitoring pole foundation holes, greenhouse support holes and small slope protection drilling. Drill rods can be swapped to match holes of different depths and diameters.
4.Can it drill through various soil types?
It works smoothly in sandy soil, loam, clay and compacted loam. Fitted with special alloy drill bits for frozen ground, it can handle shallow frozen soil, but it is not applicable for massive rock or dense reinforced concrete.
5.Is drill rod deviation common in deep-hole drilling?
Vertical guiding frame and limited four-point supports enable uniform feeding via hand-crank chain, keeping drill rods moving straight vertically. It achieves much higher hole verticality than handheld augers and reduces rework risk.
Operational Advantages
6.What benefits does the frame type have compared with traditional handheld augers?
Handheld augers rely on manual force to stabilize and press down, causing severe arm fatigue after long hours. Our frame model uses a hand-crank chain to lift and lower drill rods, requiring no downward manual pressure, so a single worker can finish drilling independently.
7.Can the machine work at sites without mains electricity?
Both versions are gasoline internal combustion powered, requiring no power cables or generators. They can operate freely in remote wastelands, mountain areas and isolated orchards with no power supply.
8.Can new operators learn to operate quickly?
The workflow is simple: unfold support feet to fix the frame, start the engine, and rotate the handwheel to control drilling depth. With on-site demo videos, novice workers can operate independently after brief training.
Accessories, Maintenance & Selection Advice
9.What accessories come as standard? Can extra drill rods be purchased separately?
The standard package includes frame, engine, standard spiral drill rod, maintenance tools and spare spark plugs/filters. Extended drill rods, multi-size drill bits and thickened blades for frozen soil are available as optional parts.
10.Is daily maintenance complicated?
Clean soil off drill rods after daily work, lubricate transmission chains regularly, check engine oil and tighten frame bolts. General construction workers can complete maintenance without professional support.
11.What are the warranty terms and supply policy for wearing parts?
Engines and main frames are covered by manufacturer warranty. Spiral blades, drill bits and drive chains are consumable spare parts with permanent stock for purchase and replacement.
12.Which teams should choose the 2-stroke or 4-stroke version?
Nurseries and scattered greening teams are recommended the 2-stroke model. Photovoltaic construction crews, large-scale fencing contractors and teams carrying out long-duration continuous field drilling work should opt for the 4-stroke version.
